This new chancery designed by Swiss Architects, Roeoesli & Maeder, was the result of an international competition.  Roeoesli & Maeder selected DMJ Architects to work with them to realise the project in the context of Kenyan conditions. We acted as lead consultants for the local consultant team, together with the project managers, MML. The chancery had to respond strictly to Swiss security requirements and act as a flagship in respect of its role as a representation of Swiss environmental levels at the United Nations Environment Programme in Gigiri.

Throughout the project there was a need to manage Swiss expectations regarding the local construction team and to coordinate their work with the specialist Swiss contractors supplying and fixing prefabricated imported elements (doors, windows etc.)
